 Our vision & commitment

Living’s Guardians

We started with a simple conviction:

The materials we use to inform, package, display, or convey an idea shape the living world as much as the message itself.

Every sheet, every package, every printed piece is a material choice that leaves a mark, in forests, in soils, in water, and in the air.

Our work consists of designing mineral-based materials that reduce this footprint, without requiring organisations to sacrifice performance, creativity, or technical precision.

We do not seek to pit paper against plastic but to propose a third way: using an abundant mineral resource to relieve the most fragile ecosystems while remaining compatible with industrial realities.

Being “Living’s Guardians” means protecting life by making more responsible, tangible, and measurable material choices at every link in the chain.

Principle & operation

Our impact pillars

We structure our commitments around a few clear pillars, linked to the concrete issues of our partners.

Forests

Reduce pressure on forests by substituting part of the virgin fibres with a mineral material, to limit deforestation, habitat fragmentation, and dependence on intensive monocultures

Plastics

Decrease reliance on virgin plastics when the function of the material can be fulfilled by a mineral sheet, and facilitate integration into existing recycling streams, according to local contexts

Water

Design processes that do not consume process water for material production, to preserve a critical resource for ecosystems and communities

Chemical
& Health

Limit surface treatments and additives, avoid optical brighteners and certain problematic agents, for materials that are more neutral, stable, and transparent in terms of health

Circularity

Favour recyclable, reusable, or long-lasting solutions that reduce waste volumes and improve the material value of existing streams

Climate

Contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through the combination of an abundant mineral resource, optimised processes, and partnerships focused on continuous improvement

Collaborations

Projects & partnerships

We move forward with actors who test, measure, and evolve the material in real conditions.

Graphic industry & publishing

Co-development of sustainable printed ranges: heritage books, reusable training materials, durable signage, in collaboration with printers, publishers, and design studios.

Packaging & distribution

Pilot projects on reusable packaging, technical packaging, or field communication materials, with industrials, brands, and distribution networks.

Public sector & institutional actor

Experiments with high-value archival documents, long-term information materials, and more resource-efficient display systems.

CSR & innovation ecosystem

Collaboration with consulting firms, incubators, laboratories, and committed structures to document impacts, challenge uses, and open new fields of application.

Commitment & Responsability

Impact measurement

For us, commitment must be demonstrable. That’s why we work with concrete indicators that can then be integrated into our partners' CSR approaches.

Image de Lora Ninova

Reduction in the use of virgin fibers

Proportion of mineral material substituting paper or cardboard, and estimate of the avoided pressure on forests

Image de Naja Bertolt Jensen

Reduction of virgin plastics

Volumes of plastics that have been replaced or optimized, depending on the applications, as well as the impact on waste streams

Image de Erda Estremera

Process water saved

Comparison with conventional, water-intensive processes to highlight potential saving

Image de Jeremy Bishop

Estimated carbon footprint

Analysis of potential gains in specific usage segments, in line with organizations’ climate objectives

Extended lifespan of material

Number of possible reuses, increased durability, and reduced need for reprinting or remanufacturing

Join the movement

Co-create projects

We see our material as a starting point, not an end in itself.

The best use cases arise when it meets your trades, constraints, and environmental ambitions.

Are you leading a CSR project, a climate roadmap, a responsible purchasing policy, or an innovation approach on your printed materials, media, or packaging, and looking to test mineral alternatives with measurable impact?

We

Co-create projects

Pilot projects on limited ranges or targeted uses

Technical tests with your industrial partners or printers

Demonstrators for your internal and external stakeholders
